I think it's better than simply wasting those resources, especially with the potential of the technology to improve the quality and length of life for so many people.

Stemcells, they're not just from embryos
embryos as a stemcell source has sucked, and make up a tiny part of all the potential sources for stem cells
i support stemcell research. just not embryonic
